ThorSport Racing is NASCAR’s only Ohio-based racing team competing in the Camping World Truck Series. It is the longest tenured active NASCAR Camping World Truck Series team.
The team currently runs three trucks: the No. 13 Safe Auto Insurance Company/Curb Records Chevrolet Silverado, driven by Johnny Sauter; the No. 88 Menards Chevrolet Silverado, driven by Matt Crafton; and the No. 98 Ferrell Gas/Agrisure Chevrolet Silverado, driven by Dakoda Armstrong.
ThorSport Racing recently completed the construction of their brand-new, state-of-the-art, 100,000 square foot race team facility at 312 Neilsen Ave., in Sandusky, Ohio. A Grand Opening will be held August 17, 2011 and is open to the public from 12-6 pm. They will host a private media event from 6:30-8:30 pm.
Special events during the grand opening celebration include: NCWTS Hood Raffle to benefit fallen Sandusky police officer Andy Dunn family, NASCAR Pit Stop Challenge & Live Team Pit Stops, Kid Zone, Guided Tours & Autographs w/Johnny Sauter, Matt Crafton & Dakoda Armstrong and a performance by Tim Dugger.
